Walzen Toughtron^® is a cold-rolled. heat-treated, medium carbon steel strapping that provides high tensile strength and excellent shock resistance for the heaviest-duty applications. Cold rolling gives steel higher strengths, flexibility to have closer control of thickness and a smoother surface. However it reduces the ductility and the ability of the material to take shock loads. These properties are achieved by the superior Walzen heat treatment process which gives a superior quality strapping material with high strength, close tolerances, high yield point and necessary ductility to bend it around sharp corner. Painted and waxed coating enables tension transmission around load corners and also serves the dual purpose of corrosion resistance. Compared to conventional cold rolled steel strapping. Toughtron^®'s high toughness allows it to elongate further without breaking to better absorb shocks during transit and handling.

Finishes : Straps are painted on-line and are treated with a hard wax coating. This lubrication allows the strapping to flow smoothly in automated machines, tools and around corners of products.

2. Can take very high tensioning load for high compaction particularly for sharp edges.
3. Resists breakage even when tightened around sharp corners.
